Balloon Arch Tutorial

Balloon Arch Tutorial

For Sophie’s Birthday party I decided to be ambitious and make a huge balloon arch for my office and move all the furniture and set it up as a little photo op room in the house for the party. Now before you roll your eyes at the idea of a photo booth for a 4 year old – remember that I am a photographer and I love nothing more than cute pictures of my kiddo!

Believe it or not, this was a super easy project. The hardest part is blowing up the balloons and if you have some helpers, it’s not bad at all. And the good news is, you can make this days in advance and you don’t have to worry about deflation like you would with helium balloons. Sophie’s party was 4 weeks ago and this balloon arch is still pretty much in tact!

This is a simple DIY, you just need lots of balloons! I used about half of a 72 pack as well as 4, 12 packs to make this garland. The trick is not to blow the balloons up all the way, that makes it look way more organic. Also if you have an air compressor or a balloon pump this will save your lungs and some time 🙂
